Stitched Hearts, Valentine

Love You and Be Mine Stitched Framelits

Hello! This week I have more projects using the beautiful valentine products in the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog. Today’s card features one of my favorite color combos – Crumb Cake and Lovely Lipstick.

This pattern in the All My Love Designer Series Paper is so pretty that I wanted to keep the card simple to show off the DSP. But I also wanted to add a sentiment, so I turned to the new Be Mine Stitched Framelits dies.

These dies are amazing! There are so many of them and so many different ways you can use them! To get a better idea of what the possibilities are, I grabbed some Lovely Lipstick card stock and used the framelits to cut out all the shapes. I then took every shape and adhered to some Basic Black card stock to get this:

Wow! So many shapes! That’s a lot of bang for the buck! And I still don’t show every possible combination. For example, the medium size heart on the right side about half down has stitching. You can also cut out this heart with no stitching if you prefer.

This guide will really help me to find the exact shape I need for future projects. I am still struggling with how I want to store all my dies and I think doing this with my other dies too will be very helpful.

I chose the medium size stitched heart and scalloped frame dies and some Whisper White card stock to create this heart element on the front of my card. I popped up the heart to give it a little dimension. The sentiment is from the Forever Lovely stamp set, stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink. As a final touch, I added a small Lovely Lipstick foil heart with a glue dot.

I’m really happy with how it turned out. I just love that DSP on the Crumb Cake base.

Thanks for stopping by!
