Happy Fourth of July!
Today I have my alternatives for the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit. As soon as I saw the kit contents, I thought gift cards! And I made these:
This kit has bright and fun colors and lots of embellishments; stickers, pearls, sequins and twine. With so much to choose from I decided to challenge myself to use only items from the kit, with the exception of a card stock base and black ink.
The base is a simple piece of card stock cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 1 1/2″ and 5″. Fold the 1 1/2″ flap and adhere the sides with tear and tape to make a small pocket inside the card base. I decorated the inside and outside using the embellishments in the kit. To show what it looks like with gift card inserted, I made a sample gift card and slipped it into the little pocket.
I made four different gift card holders. Fast and fun!
I still have lots of this kit left; I think I’ll make some cards next . . . while I wait for my July 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit to come. I wonder what it will be!
Thanks for stopping by!
