Statement of the Heart Framed

Happy Friday! My post today is about a fun little project I made during my Card Club last week.

I saw a Shadow Box Frame posted on Facebook by Nina King McMillan and just had to give it a try. I chose different papers and colors, but I used the Statement of My Heart stamp like she did. I found a tutorial for the frame on Splitcoaststampers. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to make the frame. It’s really nice and sturdy too. The tutorial is for a Shadow Box Frame Card. I just stopped when I got the frame built using Mint Macaron card stock. I still had some from when it retired last year; I love that this color is coming back in the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.

The pretty paper in the background is from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. Such gorgeous paper!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. What size paper did you start with? Scored in 1/2” increments 4 times?? Thanks for sharing.

    1. I apologize, I missed your comment. To make the box frame, cut a piece of cardstock to 8 1/4″ x 9 1/2″. Score at 1/2” increments 4 times on all four sides.
