Heartland, Thinking of You

Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop – February 2018

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for February 2018. This month our theme is Lions, Tigers & Bears, Oh My! Cards Featuring Animals. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Linda Suarez @ All Night Stamping – or may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

As I searched through my stamp sets to find an “animal” I wanted to use, I came across the Heartland stamp set. I love this stamp set and I have used it only one time. So, for my animal I chose the cute little geese!

For the layout I decided to use this week’s Freshly Made Sketch #324:

I moved the circle and banner elements from the top right to the lower left because I wanted to use the barn in the background. I really like how the layout worked out!

For coloring the image, I broke out my Copics. I hadn’t played with them in a long while, I am clearly rusty but it was fun! I decided not to add a sentiment to the front of the card, instead I added it to and decorated the inside of the card. I think I used every stamp in Heartland on this card!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are on my blog – Linda Suarez @ All Night Stamping, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next on the list.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love how you created this scene! The barnyard fading into the background with that sweet little boy is just perfect! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  2. A great take on this week’s sketch! Those two images work perfectly together and you did a fab coloring job. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
