Birthday, Party Hat Birthday

Party Hat Birthday Tags

Happy Monday!  When I first saw the Party Hat Birthday Bundle in the 2018 Occasions catalog, I knew I would get it.  It wasn’t in my preorder but it was in my first big order of 2018.  And it came out to play this past weekend:

The current Fab Friday challenge came to my rescue with choosing colors for my little project:

This was a fun little project, but it was not fast.  There are lots of parts to this, lots of stamping.  Since these are photopolymer stamps, it was easy to line up.  I originally was planning on making a card, but as I was stamping, I thought the hat would make perfect birthday tags.

So I cut out another couple of hats in Whisper White and scored them about one inch from the tip.  I then glued the tip of the hats together up to the score line.  This way the stamped party hat remains in one piece without bending.  This makes a cute tag, and I think would be a cute little card too.

Since I didn’t think about stamping something on the inside before I attached the two pieces together, duh, I stamped a separate sentiment and punched it out in a circle and attached it to the inside.  This works great for boo-boos too.

I punched out a small circle at the tip and added more of that gorgeous FREE shimmer ribbon from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Thanks for stopping by!

Linda
