Seasonal Bouquet

Welcome to my new blog!  It’s been a few years

I’ve been to this rodeo before, but it’s been a while so please bear with me while I get my site up and running.  I am using WordPress this time around and it’s taking me a while to find things and get used to it.  I will be adding content as quickly as I can.

I am not new to blogging and not new to paper crafting, but I have been “silent” for a few years now. During that time, I also took a short break from crafting and concentrated on me.  But, of course, I couldn’t stay away for very long.  Over a year ago, I became a Stamping’ Up! Independent Demonstrator; I finally realized that it was time to become a hobby demo and get that amazing discount and all the perks!  I love the quality and coordination of the SU! products.

Here is my first share of the new blog!

I used the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #318 for my inspiration.

This was a fun card to make, but not for mass production as I fussy cut all the flowers.  I originally was going to color them with my Stampin’ Blends but after stamping them, I liked them just white so I went with it.

I used the leaf punch to cut out little leaves from the pretty plaid paper in the Christmas Around the World DSP.  I added the leaves and pearls to the flower centers to step it up a bit and popped all the flowers up with dimensionals.

In the above photo you can see the layers that the dimensional and pearls add to the card.

And I used my leftovers to make this quick but very sweet little tag to match my card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Linda

  1. Great job fussy-cutting all those flowers – they look amazing! As does your whole card! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  2. Well hello there stranger! So glad to see you back getting all inky! Funny how paper and ink seems to call us in one way or another. What a splash you’ve made with your card and tag! I LOVE the plaid – both as super creative leaves and as the background for your tag. And I think that choosing to go with white for the flowers makes the plaid show up all the more. Good luck with your new blog. I’m sure you’ll be up to snuff in no time!

  3. Wow your new blog looks fabulous! And your card is wonderful! Yikes all that fussy cutting but the flowers look wonderful with the bits of plaid tucked in! Sweet tag too! Glad you joined us at FMS!
